I may be off base here but...about the only ones I know interested in arpegiator music are teens today.

I came out of retirement to teach 15 - 18 year olds...listen to their music all the time...its rap...poorly done stuff...lyric and music wise. I would have given up writing music years ago if I was as bad as most rappers I hear.

So what are arrangers doing, trying to re-create this junk?
