Henni,
Thanks for the link to your converted PA800 styles. I tried them on a Tyros 5. Most of the styles converted quite well. I great starting point to further rework them to the Tyros 5 standard.

Not all the Mega voices will work correctly with the odd glitch, but sometimes a different Mega voice will work better or change to a comparable SA style voice that might interpret the Korg velocity levels, slides and other programmed nuances better.

On the Tyros 5, I would first make the voice chances to the various style midi channels and volume levels you want, then open the style in Style Creator for final editing. I would then permanently save the converted style from the Style Creator mode.

The issue with changing to a Brush Kit or whatever one you want can also be made in Style Creator. The Tyros 5 has a nice Real Brush Kit that is closest to audio drums. Maybe some older programmed styles can play more accurately using drum kits from the Legacy folder or even older XG and GS kits.

Any style can be converted on the Tyros 5 with the drum channels converted to any suitable 75 or so available Yamaha Audio Styles. While in Style Creator load the suitable Audio style and assemble the non audio midi style parts in the assembly tab. Make all your edits and changes and save to the User Drive.

Only issue is, audio style saves can only be saved to the User Drive and once saved cannot be copied. I have roughly 75 audio hybrid saves, but can hold roughly a hundred audio styles.

Beyond converting to an audio style, you can take it a step further and add some nice Tyros 5 vocal and choir midi track parts to the style. In Assembly, you can change up any style or borrow any style part you want. I agree there is more flexibility with the Yamaha styles.

Marcus
