Most video cameras with XLR inputs will give a good sound. I use a Canon XH A1(mini DV)for video when I want to record good sound.
I mount a Rode condenser mike on my XH A1 and run that into the camera.
Most video cams will produce good video...few produce a good sound with it. Even the built in mike on my XH A1, which is better than most, will not produce as good a sound as an external mike.
Ironically, the expensive cameras cost the money they do because they can produce good sound.
Look around for a used video camera with XLR inputs.
Best of luck.
