I remember when I took a train from Trenton, NJ, to the Washington D.C. region in 1985, I saw Baltimore from a kind of long train bridge, and it looked a bit like a neighborhood of small huts, very poor, almost like slums. Do I remember it correctly? Probably it was just the worst part of the city, close to the railway track...
