Bachus, every way of life has it's shadowsides - it's nothing unique to this part of the world, and having traveled much of the globe when I was younger, I can say that with some degree of authority. There were places in Barcelona, Rome, London, Tokyo, Lisbon, Johannesburg, Rio and Key West that I didn't feel very safe in 55 years ago. Times have changed because the attitude of people have changed - it's a very different world we live in today. Fortunately, there are still many caring individuals that help make living worthwhile.
