If you are "gigging" you should invest in a good speaker/PA system otherwise you may miss the good sound coming from the BK-9.
I would suggest to try, if you can, a light but clean sounding by-amped system. For example start with a Bose or if you like the stereo sound invest in a less expensive Nano-300 HK Lucas portable PA (about $700). You will not be disappointed.

I bought the NANO on clearance at GC for $299. I'm still at home working on my act, but setting up everything as I hear it from the PA. So far, I like the sounds very much and it sure is portable.
