Jim, I have used the Encore program for the last 10 years. Getting into general midi files with the Kn700, as Bob said is a thankless job. I found it too much to deal with.

If I am correct on Korg and Yamaha keyboards all the parts are recorded as midi files making them easier to transport.

I do not have Knowledge of the notation program but Im betting that you can play back directly useing your program into a sound source; the computer or the Kn7000 without transferring a midi file into the Kn7000 -- use the kN7000 as a sound source. As good as the Kn7000 is I have never found it to be friendly when dealing with midi files.

Why not create your music as you stated I need lead/bass guitar charts, a drum chart, horn charts (sax and trumpet) and an alternate keyboard chart for a 2nd keyboard player (me). Play using notation without going to the Kn7000. Years ago you gave some good midi files of you playing piano/organ solos, and I did my best to convert them to the Kn7000. They lost the value of your playing big time.

I hope my memory serves me well with what I have written,
John C.
