Exactly like I've said & been guilty of myself,
The Audya runs partly off a operating system on the hard drive, same as a Windows based computer. If you tamper with it, it WILL byte you. I've been there myself & TWD had to run to my rescue with restoration DVDs.
I still suspect that MANY initial Audya problems were software related which could not be solved remotely.
So, don't tamper with the files on the hard drive, & it won't byte you. Other arrangers do not suffer from same as their system files cannot be accessed. Before you point out to me what a bad thing is is for the Audya, I dare you to show me a single other arranger on the market today that will accept such a MAJOR update as the AJAMSONIC upgrade. This is only possible because much of the operating system resides on the hard drive.
