Hi Bernie,

The important figure for DC power supplies is the voltage. It MUST match the device, or it will blow the power rails. Also be mindful of the tip polarity.

Some are centre + and sleeve - OR centre - and sleeve + . This is also important.

As long as the rated amp output is HIGHER than what the device needs you will have no probs, as it only draws enough current (amps) that it needs/uses.
