Hi Mark,
1. The Editing, i dont know, i cant give you the right answer to that,
i know so much about Korg workstations that simply there is nothing on
any Korg WS that i dont know, down to probably the last function and for
me it would be hard to tell you its difficult or easy. You have to understand
that every WS is the same level of dificulty, be it Korg or Roland or Yamaha.
It is EXACTLY the same as the Oasys, it is not complicated but it is Complex.
A WS with this kind of power really needs some knowledge about programming.
So in my opinion there is not an Easy or Dificult to edit Workstation, they
are all the same level, Triton, M3, Kronos, Motif, Fantom, i have them all.
2. Comparing Kronos and Oasys...i dont know, their Editing features are exactly
the same but Kronos is years ahead, first of all it contains all of the 9 Engines
for which you had to pay on the Oasys...Oasys is a better build quality though.
3. Yes, i played long enough on the JP80, even worked on it few days. These 2 Boards
are not comparable, they are 2 different at what they do, one is Workstatin while
the other is just a really high end Synth. What Kronos will do JP80 will never do
and vice versa. Modulation/Emulation of Physical and Analog Modeling is actually better
for some thing on the JP80...but it lacks a lot of whats on the Kronos. The Kronos
actually surpassed the Workstation level...it is more of a Studio now, you can record,
Mix, Master and Edit a whole album in it, the FX are way better then the JP80.
