Sorry, playing root based chords will not produce this uniquely piano jazz sound.

I hope this might give people previously unfamilar with the advantage of playing rootless chords on an arranger might better appreciate it's advantages now,
especially for keyboardists who want to play the arranger in the style of a comping jazz style pianist. cool
