AJ,

First of all, thank you so much for giving a thought to this issue.

It's a good idea. When I commented on your manual (X-series) and suggested you to include more "musical tips" I was meaning these kind of tips! There's a big void in the arranger manuals/arranger books: detailed tips explaining how to apply the arranger tools to musical expression.

I created the voice program very easily. Now, how exactly could I lock the chord with a pedal/footswitch, AJ? I thought obviously about the button "Chord Lock", which is assignable to the footswitch (just as Bass Lock or Drums Lock are), but this acts locking the accompaniement pattern when one makes changes from variation to variation (B to C, for instance), not locking the NAME of the chord. But you are probably refering to something else that I couldn't understand. Could you please clarify?

Anyway, it would be great if the same BASSIST function present on the XD series and on the SD1 could be implemented on the X-series, now that you'll be soon involved in an OS upgrade for these models. I tried this feature on the XD9, last summer, at my dealer, and found it very easy and intuitive to use.

Thanks for the great support,
