Where I live, and I'm sure in other cites as well, even the classy restaurants/clubs etc. tend to not book classy music. They book the type of group that will bring in the best crowd. 'Best Crowd' to the restaurant/bar owner means a crowd that is going to spend the most on alcohol which turns out to be younger people. They may not necessarily want to hear rap or hip hop all night long, but I do know the majority of them don't want to hear standards or jazz.
