I'm primarily a singer, therefore, the 3000 works just fine for me. My voice is essentially my right hand, and the few purely instrumental songs that I perform never seem to suffer using the 3000. Keep in mind, however, that I also have created several custom voices that I utilize and have more than 40,000 third-party style files that I've tuned for the 3000 as well. Many of those styles are song specific with song specific intros and endings. Most of those styles will work on the S-910 as well, but some may need a bit of tuning and tweaking in order to make them sound the way I want.

As I said above, that 3000 is light years ahead of the 740, and from what many performers say, the 910 is a big step up from the 3000.
