A couple of nights ago my backup was taking every bit of 3 hours, I started it late in the evening. Short story I read on a support forum, that one of the apps I run Zinio an app for electronic magazines can slow it down. I had about 30 copies of issues of MacWorld and PC World Loaded. I uninstalled Zinio, the back up ran in about 15 minutes, then the new software took another 20 minutes. Last night I added back Zinio and downloaded the most recent copies only of those magazines.

) for iTunes to create the new iPad OS auto backup files on my PC. One OS 4.2 annoyance is tthat he screen rotation lock (physical) switch function has been changed to activate vol mute. Screen lock must now be activated within the touch screen. That said, a worthwhile upgrade to gain the ability to run multiple apps concurrently, and of course, midi support.
