Something stopped it mid cleaning cycle.

Try manually setting it to clean while you are not going to be running water in the house. This may require changing the clock or it may have a manual cycle setting.

Could be a fault in the timer/clock or could just be that the power got interrupted while it was cycling at night. Whatever, it didn't get the chance to finish.

Or -- it is in need of a repairman's attention.
