Hi everyone!

I've just ordered a new XV3080 to be put on lay by at my friendly neighbourhood music shop. However, there is also a pretty good deal going with the remaining JV2080's left to sell off. Basically I am about $700.00 (Australian) poorer by getting the XV over the JV (this tranlates to about $400.00 US).

I was very strongly advised to go with the XV over the JV by the sales person (whome I know doesn't talk crap because I've dealt with him for the past 10 years!!!!).

With the exception of the new Exp board slots, is the XV a big step up from the JV in terms of sound quality. I know that the JV can have up to 3 efx at once verses the XV's 1 efx but this doesn't really bother me. I've also heard and read alot about the JV2080 having problems with midi timing (due to the processor speed when alot of efx are used).

I have decided for the XV but I can still change my mind over the next week or so.

Could any XV owners who own or have owned JV modules please give me some thoughts and opinions? This would be much appreciated.
