I went to school with a best buddy that had a 1938 Lincoln Zepher with a v12 engine in it, and a stick shift on the floor. It would leave most all of the rods around town.
It was a real show piece too. the chicks would fight to see who could get in it when we stopped
I got the worst speeding ticket of my life in a 54 Lincoln hard top. I had it on the used car lot and this guy told me that if it would hit 120 he would buy it.
I picked him up late that night and took him out on the flats and we were well past the 120 on the clock. We stopped at a local road house I was playing at for a beer and this cop walked in and wanted to know who was driving that 54 Lincoln. Yup it did get expensive but the deal was profitable enough it was ok.
