Yeah sure, but then again I'm caught with the thinking that at 16bit recording at 44.1Khz still contains 44100 samples of 16 bit information regardless of what the actual recording is. So if it's lossless, how do they manage to retain all that data and achieve 12:1

I'm actually looking forward to finding out the answer to this one to be honest. It's quite an interesting subject.
