I cam say without hesitation the Tyros does not have more features then the PA2x. But unless you need and use every single feature of an item that should not enter the equation.
Its a good idea (as I do with Sonar) NOT to upgrade with every rendition. I update my software every three years IF it has features I will use or have waited for. Going from the T2 to the T3 is worth about $1000 at most IMO. Going from the PSR300 to the tyros is worth every penny minus the sales price of the PSR3000.
The Korg is far more Workststion like than the T3. But it HAS to be. The availability and quiality of professionally crafted styles is woefully absent in comaprison. If you like crating stsyles no problem. PErsonally if I wanted to created styles I would have purchased a Motif.
ALL THAT SAID I am finding I will purchase a Motif or otherwise module to rerecord some older songs there is no possible of finding styles for. Those will have to be done the old fashion way....Track by track.
Until Yamaha moves the Tyros in the Pro keyboard division, I'm afraid there won;t be the "mother of all keyboards" in my world. Audya is out of the question. I already have VSTIs. For live use that would be a different story.
A Yamaha "TyroMotTX8" would be a great do all keyboard...
