I'm a dealer for Mackie, FBT, RCF, DBTechnologies.

The mackies previous to the V2s had a bunch of problems, the original series were made by RCF, but then mackie took them over to China to make and that's when things got bad, supposedly the new V2s have addressed all the issues and are back to the qualtiy most people remember Mackie for.

The FBT/RCF stuff is usually more money, but you do get more for it. Fit, finish, overall sound quality, parts are manufacturing are done in-house in Italy. The distribution center for FBT is in Connecticut and the RCF is in New Hampshire.

I've sold the old Mackies (didn't like) FBTs and RCFs. Once I get my hands on a V2 Mackie I can give you the total scoop.

All manufactures will honor their products if there are problems, the better companies usually don;t have many
