SRM350v2 weighs 26 pounds.

The SRM350 makes a good floor monitor, and the sound dispersion is relatively wide for a conventional speaker, somewhere around 90-degrees. I couldn't find the weight specs, but I believe it's about the same as the V2.



If I were in your shoes, especially with smaller jobs, I would take a serious look at the Logitech Z-5500 system. There are loads of folks throughout the world using them now, mainly in small nite-club and restaurant jobs, and the reviews have been fantastic. And, you surely cannot beat the price. This will likely trigger a series of bull-shit posts about cheap computer speakers, and how much air you have to push to get good bottom end. Therefore, I suggest that if you look at the Z-5500 system, purchase it, or any other sound system, from a retailer that has a liberal, cash-back return policy--not someplace that provides store credits only. If you don't like what you hear, then you can take it back for a full refund.
