The problem can be solved by selecting the Pa1X format in Style Works. Pa2X/Pa800 is compatible with Pa1X files. The only drawback to this is that you will not be able to use Ending 3.

I have converted a lot of Roland, Yamaha and Technics styles to the Pa800 this way. You can download some of them on www.createsongstyles.com in the Factory Styles forum.
