Al:
I' using a samson cardoid mike, quicklock boom, and it is attached to the stand.
T2 is on the L7 stand, I made a adapter that fits on the stand (goes between the board and the stand and is bolted on using wing nuts) this has a 7/8 in. heavy duty tubing that the quick loc mic boom attaches to. this does not come in contact with the keyboard. it's has about 3/4" clearence from it. The rubber pads on the L7 are not very thick, and before I made the orig post here I tried 4 pieces of 1/4" felt on top of these pads to further insulate it.
I can't understand what going on, there was no problem with the 9000 setting on this stand, and just removing it and connecting the T2 now it sounds like the mike gain is wide open, but vocal amplification is normal. Tried several mikes, Nady, 2 shures, and a yamaha, and another samson.

I have pretty well done what you mentioned, but It's got my stumped..
I don't want to buy a new mike and find out it does the same thing...????
My gut feeling is its not the mike or mike mounting, but something in the settings, it seems to be as if the gain is wide open to The point you could speak into the vents on the front and it should be amplified...

The vocals sound about normal volume.
The gain control next to the mike plug in is set at about 10 o'clock. the mike volume is set at 80 thru/out and the volume knob is turned to 3 o'clock. and showing a normal green light flashing on when used.
Any Ideas.....Anyone.......Pose
