Maybe the settings in the previous releases of the O/S made it sound different out of the box, but with the current O/S version I can assure you that it can sound as crisp and clear as you heared in the demos.
It is obvious that the initial settings in the first releases of the O/S were too much based on the Italian taste. At least that is what I think is the cause of it.
Danny, the styles you hear in the demo that you mention are in fact the internal styles. The stylegroup 'live band' has those styles with a lot the multi-layered guitar sounds in them. As opposed to the Tyros megavoices these guitar sounds are also very suitable for live performance.
If you find it hard to believe that I miss my KN6000 styles, I can only say that Technics apparently did a very, very good job back in 1999! But it is also a matter of personal taste of course.
