Burkels,

Does the EXR-5 have a good Crescendo Cymbal?

Unfortunately the Tyros to my knowledge doesn't have a crescendo cymbal programmed into it. Just the crash cymbal as far as I know which sounds a little harsh especially in a mellow type song. I agree that a good crescendo cymbal that is 'soft' in its sound would be more pleasing to the ears. I don't understand why Yamaha didn't put one in the Tyros seeing that a crescendo cymbal is a common and basic form of music that is used extensively in drumming.

If the EXR-5 has a good Crescendo Cymbal programmed into it then I say kudos! to Roland for doing that since the EXR-5 is a much lesser expensive Arranger than the high end Tyros is.

If you could provide a demo (if the EXR-5 has a crescendo cymbal that is) of it in action, that would be nice.

Best regards,
Mike
