Hello everyone! I have been looking at the PSR740 and PSR2000, since I have heard they are both impressive keyboards from this site as well as from other places, like http://www.svpworld.com/

Just recently, I looked at the PSR740 when I realized it was just a step below the PSR2000. I went to http://www.svpworld.com/ and read about the PSR740 in detail. With this, I also listened to some sound demos of the keyboard and I was VERY impressed with the PSR740! The sounds were just amazing and the overall features impressed me a lot! So, if you do not mind, I have some questions concerning the PSR740 compared to the PSR2000:

1) What do you think of the PSR740 compared to the PSR2000? Are the sounds as good on the 740 since it has 12 MB of Wave ROM compared to the PSR2000, which has 16 MB of Wave ROM; is there a difference? What about its sequencer compared to the PSR2000?

2) Also, with the PSR740, how easy is it to record you own voice into the keyboard? What about with the PSR2000? I ask this because this is a very important feature to me since my brothers and I enjoy singing and therefore would like to record our vocal parts into the keyboard.

3) Also, I heard that the PSR740's LCD display will eventually permantly dim and will have to be replaced. I read this in the official owner's manual on Yamaha's site. Does this also happen with the PSR2000? Have you ever had to replace the LCD display on your keyboard? And how long will the LCD display last on the PSR740?

Well, that is all my questions, for now! Thanks a lot for taking out the time to read this, I look forward to hearing some comments soon! I am comparing these two keyboards because I really would like to buy one in the future, but right now I do not have that kind of money whatsoever. So, I need some opinions about the keyboards. The PSR740's sound was VERY impressive and I was thinking that I would just buy that one instead of the PSR2000 to save money, but do you think that is a wise decision? Or, in the future, should I just buy the PSR2000? Hopefully I won't have to buy a keyboard...hopefully I get one for free by some sort of miracle! I REALLY NEED A KEYBOARD!

Anyway, thanks a lot. See you around on the forum and have a nice day,
Ryan
