I played both the KN2600 and KN2400 recently. The price comparison vs. the PSR 1100/2100 is substantially more for the Technics boards. They both have "64" note polyphony whereas the Yamaha PSR 1100 has "32" note polyphony. The big difference between the KN2600 and KN2400 is the KN2600 has a SD Memory slot whilst the KN2400 has just a Floppy Drive. Also the KN2400 does NOT have a Modulation Wheel just a Pitch Bend wheel. The KN2600 has both. I noticed that the sounds on the KN2600 although good in many respects there are quite a few 'thin' sounding voices too, especially in the Organ department. Although you can tweak them to make them sound better if you want. Again, you will most likely pay "hundreds" more for the Technics boards as apposed to the Yammie boards. Some people might buy the Technics just for the sake of "Brand" loyalty. If they do, or for any others that buy one, they will get a fairly decent Arranger in the KN2400 or KN2600 plus if they splurge on a KN2600 they will get the added benefit of SD Memory capability that can not only store and play Midi files but 'Audio' files as well.

Best regards,
Mike
