Tony, you might want to check out Yamaha's MSP5 Studio Monitors. I just bought a pair and I have to say I am quite pleased with them. Quality near field Monitors are rather expensive but they have come down in price over the last 2 or 3 years. Here is the links to the Yamaha MSP5 and a review of the same:
