Thanks Fran. I kind of knew that already, but I was hoping to lighten the gear box. With the addition of the VR760, I was hoping to delegate the midi stuff to the 2k, but I've already experienced the nightmare of trying to play midi files thru it (and many other Yammy instruments). I too am a Roland fan and feel that the SC's and such are the easiest and best to use.

Well, maybe if I can ever find a decent, live soft-arranger I'll warehouse the 2k for good. As nice as some of its sounds are, I really don't use them or need them that much.
