You are definitely right, Fran. If I'm going to do a large, outdoor picnic or an auditorium, and if I'm getting paid enough, I'm definitely going to rent a subwoofer - about $15 for a day.

I hosted a wedding in our backyard where we built a dance floor. My MS100's have the same bass response as the Eon10's. I rented a subwoofer that shook the ground. Wow, did it sound fantastic.

You need that deep bassy sound for today's dance music. I don't think people needed it so much in the '70's and previously, but now, you just need it. For that deep bassy sound, I definitely acknowledge that 10" woofers do not cut it.
