the psr 8000 was made about 4 years ago. It was the flagship model for Yamaha. Big and beautiful! However, the sounds, styles and features are not as current as the lower priced PSR2000. The solid build of the PSR8000 would be the only feature not found in the PSR2000 and the ability to put an optional hard drive inside the keyboard. Other than that, I would rather own a PSR2000 today than the PSR8000.
