There is not a Korg product in ANY price range that can compare with the piano sounds in Roland gear. The X5 is a good synth and pad box, but for solo sounds and studio staples - go for the 1010.The best part about Korg sounds is their effects. Strip away the wash of reverb and you'll see what I mean about the pianos. I do like their organs, though.
