You must jump to psr 1500/3000 arena!
I was in the same dilema, and ended buying a used yamaha s30 w/ a xv-2020, then add a 2 srx expansion cards, and then a motif rack es however if was missing my dgx-305/505 key action and the cool and easy features of the DGX keyboards. After spending a lot of money trying to get something to upgrade my DGX keyboard(bought a yamaha s80,m-audio prokeys 88sx and then a prokeys 88, then a kurzweil sp76)nothing worked completely for me.
I couldn't resist anymore and bought a used psr-3000 for $900.In my opinion that's natural upgrade for a dgx 305/505 series. I'm really confortable now, however on some complicated songs,I miss the extra octaves from my dgx305 and dgx505.

If you need 76 keys I'm afraid you only choices would be Yamaha psr9000 Pro(if you can find it) Korg PA1XPRO, ketron SD1 plus or Roland G70. Besides those 4 models are so hard to find used;therefore you can think about why is that?
