I have a two-tiered keyboard stand. I put the keyboard on the bottom tier. I made a board to fit on the top tier. I place the laptop or whatever on it. The board shades the keyboard.
The laptop is another matter. I usually just do everything from memory and don't try to use it.
I have an outdoor job in 2 hours. I'll take a photo when I get set up.
I know Gary D. made a little shade for his. I once did that too, with some cardboard and tape. However you do it, you have to shade the display.
