If you play LH bass, you forfit the arranger features.....which is precisely WHY I make that choice much of the night. When I play bass ... all I need is drums and chords to back up my vocals. When I call on the whole "ensemble" .... I use what I'm given from the arranger and just chord over top with the RH to make it my own.
