The best method is to place a smart media card in the 3000 and leave it there--just like having a fast hard drive. Then get a USB Pen Drive and copy the files from your PC to the Smart Media Card. That way you'll have a back-up if either goes bad, which both can.

Keep in mind that both the Smart Media Card and USB drive have limited root directories, therefore, it's a good idea to place those files in folders and you will not run out of space.
