I keep the chords fairly simple as well, but merely include the 7th and add appropriate chord extensions (9th, 11th, 13th) & tensions (b9, b5, #11, etc) and/or play tri-tone chord substitutions as deemed fit. Never play it exactly the same way twice, but here are the basic changes (more or less) that I typically use when played in a bluesy style. I typcially use the Tyros "6-8 Blues"styles for this one:
|Fm7-C9|Fm7-C9|Fm7-C9|Fm7-C9|
|Bbm7-Db|Bbm/Db-Ddim|C7-G7|C7|
|Fm7-C9|Fm7-C9|Fm7-C9|Fm9-Bb9|
|Ab-Fm|Bb/Bb7-C7|Fm|C7|
This song lends itself to some interesting 'left hand' rootless piano chord voicing possibilities such as:
E1-Bb1-D2: C9
D1-Ab1-C2: Bb9
Db1-Ab1-C2:Bbm9
Be sure to assign the left voice to piano or other appropriate instrument sound.
