Stam, I don't have an internal hard drive, so I may not be the best to answer this, but I'll try. All I do, is save my new style from the pattern seqeuncer to an internal user style. Then I have to go back into disk function, and save the newly created user style to a floppy disk ( I'm guessing it would work the same way as an internal hard drive ) . Then I can load the new style from the floppy disk into any of the current internal styles. I know, that it seems kinda crazy to have to do all of that, but I see no other shortcuts around it.
