Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. It seems kinda sill to me too, but, that's how Korg made it.

So, my workaround is... Save all of my user styles to disk to be reloaded at my pleasure ( and back them up on a hard drive ). Then save my newly modified or recorded style to a user slot, then ( with style protection off ), save the new user style to an internal style. Why you have to do these extra steps, I cannot answer, but that's how they set it up.
