"Expert" chord recognition mode, adding rootless chords to the basic set.
Mike,

thanks for pointing this good news.
Ok, here's more detailed explanation regarding "Expert" Chord Recognition, as outlined on page 3 of the PA1X 2.50 update document (PDF) included with the 2.50 update download:
"Export" chord recognition modeThe Expert chord recognition mode has been added. This improves on the Fingered2 mode, adding rootless and slashed chord recognition, often used in jazz, fusion, modern pop and light music.
This type of chord recognition is very useful to play piano chords typical of jazz piano players. You don't need to play the root note, doubling the note already played by the bass track.
As the #1 advocate here (for MANY years now) attempting to get the major arranger keyboard manufacturers to implement rootless jazz chord recognition, I'm ELATED that Korg has finally come on board with this feature.
I would now like to make a REQUEST to all PA1X/PA1Xpro owners here who have downloaded and installed OS 2.50 to PLEASE report back the PA1X/PA1Xpro "chord recognition" for each of the twelve following Left Hand chord voicings, played in "Fingered 2" mode, with split point set at F#2 or higher.
Left Hand Chord Voicings:
1) F1-C2-E2:
2) F1-B1-E2
3) E1-A1-D2
4) F1-G1-Bb1-D2
5) E1-Bb1-D2
6) E1-F1-A1-C2
7) Eb1-Bb1-D2
8) Eb1-A1-D2
9) D1-G1-C2
10)Ab1-Bb1-Db2-F2
11)G1-Db2-F2
12)G1-Ab1-C2-Eb2
I now anxiously await finding results. Many thanks in advance.
Scott
