Rikki.......it will take a while to get used to the SD-1....but believe me once you get the hang of it and learn its in's & outs, and realize you have one of the BEST sounding keyboards on the market ....all that fancy color screen stuff....usb, etc etc will mean nothing......the only thing that will matter is the GREAT SOUND, & GREAT MUSIC it can produce....I am also blown away by my MIDJAY which is so close to the SD-1 except for a few arranger features I dont think I can ever go back to Yamaha or any other unless something extrodinary comes on the market in the future......let me say this.......
YOU MUST do your homework,it could take a while, really get into each style,& sounds, make it your own, tweak every aspect and as a result you will not believe what this great unit can sound like..Good Luck
