I don’t know if they have this already but what if they were to make keyboards with removable keys. Some thing where you can replace one set of keys for a different type. So if you are not satisfied with the keys on one KB, you can replace them with another one that you like.
For this they would have to start to make KBs that have the ability to plug in and plug out a set of keys. If you have a 61 key KB then that should have a removable key feature so if the key feel on that KB is not what you want, then you can replace it with another one. The same thing for 76 and 88 KBs. Kind of like changing the strings on a guitar. I don’t know what the physical design would be like but I am sure that can be worked out.
Maybe this might solve the key feel problem on KBs. Sometimes, I find that a KB sounds good and have the right features for me but the key feel is terrible.
What do you think? Have I gone over the edge or is this a bad dream. Feel free to add new ideas to this.
