If you are running Windows and it seems to be getting bogged down check out what has been installed to startup everytime you boot your PC.

Just click on Start->Accessories->System Tools->System Info
Then from the Tools menu select System Configuration Utility and then click on the Startup tab. You will then see a list of programs that are automatically started each time you boot your PC. You can uncheck the box next to any program to stop it starting up. Leave any that are in the the Windows folder as they are not a problem, and leave any you think you may need. But disabling programs here is not a problem as you can always come back and re-enable any that you really do want to startup. There may be all sorts of junk listed that you don't need and may be causing slowdown.

Just a tip for anyone that didn't know how to do this.
