So I finally got around to buying a PSR2000!
And everything everyones ever said (good and bad) seems pretty accurate!
But without your comments it would have been much harder to make the decision - which basically is I can live with the bad points to get at the good ones, which for me are the polyphony, sound quality and especially speed of operation "on the fly" from the disc.
There have been posts on here about "noise". Certainly through the speakers I have a slight background hiss but this sounds like normal integrated circuit amplifier noise; though a PA its as clean as a whistle via the Jacks.
As I already own a PSR630 then I'm pretty acclimatised to the Yamaha 'budget' keyboard action.
I haven't found out my operating system standard yet, but as the "buggy" areas don't affect my use of the keyboard - yet - this is not a big problem!
To repeat, thanks for the help.
Live long and prosper!
(no I'm not a serious trekkie - but here's a trek joke anyway "Kirk to Enterprise: Nice trick Scotty; can you beam my clothes down now???")
