I strongly recommend you go to www.korgstudios.com which is a forum for Korg digital recorders and has a lot of really nice, knowledgeable people who are interested in helping people learn to use the Korg recorders. Huge data base of information on the recorders and how to use them plus nice people with no flaming and no strange ego trips. The first thing to do is to download the FAQ and read through it and then go from there.

I love my D1600 but wish it had the USB port the MKII has instead of the SCSI port it has. Would make it super easy to transport to the PC whereas now I have to burn a CDRW and carry it to the PC to get my wave files into Sound Forge for editing/mastering.

It's a wonderful machine and I'm sure you will love it and be glad you got it.
