If the keyboard never leaves the house, your system will work just fine. However, when you are playing out, the best thing I've found is to use the USB drive to transfer files to the Smart Media Card and access the needed files from the SM card just as if it were a hard drive. I use the USB Thumb Drive as a transfer and backup device so I'm covered if the SM card were to fail.
