> Hi All,
I had been planning on buying another memory stick for back up for my psr1500 , but hadn't quite gotten round to it.
I decided to do the following instead using a memory card reader.
I've attached my reader using a male to female usb extension cable. Reason for doing so was that I can easily unplug the reader from the usb cable itself, instead of having to plug & unplug it from the back of the keyboard. Also means I can plug my usb floppy into the cable instead of the back of the keyboard.
> My old card reader actually has 3 slots.
> Smartmedia
> SD/Multimedia
> Compact Flash
> I now have the above 3 usb options (for saving data,)
> plus the user memory & the Smartmedia card at the front.
>
> I've actually decided to use all 3 of the usb options,
> ie save styles to one card ( sd ) ,
> multipads ( Smartmedia) to another
> & songs to the 3rd card, (though I've yet to buy a compact flashcard)
>
> Figure it might be easier to split my files up rather than have a
> mix of multipads , songs & styles all on the one card, I find it
> rather messy as there are so many folders to wade thru.
>
> Another bonus is I disconnect the card reader from the psr (cable )&
> plug it into my computer. I can then back it up to pc easily , &
> organize my files.
