Initial touch = Velocity.....
so there is a slight difference between :
How hard & How fast

By saying 'how hard....' people might think it is the initial pressure on the key. It is the SPEED the key comes down. The keys mostly have 2 contacts that get activated shortly after eachother. The 'closer' (in time) the activations occur, the faster the key was pressed, the louder the voice will sound.

Aftertouch depends on the extra pressure after (a) key(s) is/are pressed. AT only has one sensor for all octaves together.

As far as I know the coming G70 also has 'release velocity', that can be used to calculate the amount of noise of e.g. sax-valves? (how fast are they closed?)
