Scott,
Having played in a Big Band for the last 30 years, I think your list looks a lot like ours. Here are a few that we have to include when we play like it or not, they are requests.
Alley Cat (hate it)
After the lovin (very nice tune)
Sunny Side of the Street (one of my favorites)
Satin Doll (not on your list)
Green Green Grass (sometimes with alternate lyrics)
Leroy Brown
Tuxedo Junction (great swing tune)
Midnight Hour (young and old love this one)
Proud Mary (played this one too much)
Try a Little Tenderness
Cab Driver (Drive on Mary's Face)
Tea for Two (Cha Cha)
Meditation
What a Wonderful World
Witchcraft
Ruby Baby (kind of a medium Boogie)
Blue Skirt Waltz
Stardust (I'm really sick of that one)
Sentimental Journey (ditto this one)
I Saw Her Standing There
Ticket To Ride
I see you do Poor Side of Town. I would love to do that one. I had forgotten about Tiny Bubbles. I've never done "Something Stupid" because the melody BORES me to death. It's like Johnny one note. Do you do "Something"?
I always like the combinations people come up with. They will request something like "Careless", then when you tell them it's not in the book, they'll say "OK how about Inna a Godda Da Vida". Love it
Tom
